Douglas Coupland's 7 foot tall self portrait "Gumhead" is located on the grounds of The Vancouver Art Gallery. This sculpture is described as " a gum-based, crowd sourced, publiclly interactive social sculpture." Viewers are encouraged to apply their own chewed gum and as the warning suggests - clean their hands immediately after touching the sculpture.

As part of Vancouver's 2014-2016 Biennale Open Art Exhibition, world known Brazilian twin brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo aka Os Gemeos have chosen Granville Island for their latest project. Ocean Concrete's 6 gigantic, industrial silos measuring 70 feet tall, and covering over 23,500 square feet is the site of the brothers latest and largest public mural. Very impressive and an amazing addition to Vancouver's skyline.

Still under construction, workers have added numerous NO TRESPASSING signs to the outside of this luxurious West Side home. With so many signs posted I asked one of the workers what was going on. He said that all day people keep entering the house and walking through it as if it is a museum. After seeing all the signs and hearing the story I was hoping for a guided tour - but no such luck.
