Heaps Of Wrecked Cars Spewing From Old Growth Cedar Tree: Trans Am Totem by Marcus Bowcott

Even though it looks like it might be part of the movie set for the movie Deadpool, filming off of the Georgia Viaduct starting April 5th and starring hometown boy Ryan Reynolds it in fact has nothing to do with it.  Trans Am Totem by Marcus Bowcott is the latest installation of Vancouver's 2014 -2016 Biennale Public Art exhibition. Having brought us displays by world famous artists such as Os Gemeos  and Yue Minjun , this 10 meter high, 11,340 kilogram sculpture of five scrap cars and a cedar tree can now be added to the list of outdoor art in Vancouver.
