Can You Find All Of iHeart's Latest Street Art
Saying Goodbye iHeart X Ola Volo
Follow 4 Follow
Hundreds of Vancouverites trying to distance themselves from anything having to do with the
craze of tracking down imaginary Pokemon figures are instead on the hunt for street artist iHeart's seven latest pieces in the Mount Pleasant area. In a rush to see them all before they are painted over
or tagged by other graffiti artists, locals can be seen snapping up pictures of iHeart's art amongst some of the 35+ newly painted murals from last week's Mural Festival.
Often compared to British street artist Banksy, there have been no reported cases yet of iHeart's work being cut from walls and sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars as has been the case
with work by Banksy.
So far I have found four of the pieces with three to go. The hardest to find will probably be the one painted on the side of a garbage bin!

With the introduction of 35 new permanent murals at Vancouver's Mural Festival on August 20th I thought I'd post some pictures of a mural I came across in Vancouver's East Village today. This mural, titled Forgotten tongue was created by Nomadic Alternatives Org and is located just off of Lakewood Drive in the Dairy Queen parking lot.

Little Remains Of Marine Gardens Townhouse Complex In Marpole
Piles of wood, crushed bathtubs, pine tree stumps and a row of townhouses is all that remains of Marine Gardens. Last year's controversial approval by Vancouver City Council of the rezoning of the70 rental townhouse complex on Southwest Marine Drive will be home to Concord Pacific's new Vancouver West / First Class Living.

The Jervis: 3 Houses And Apartment Building Torn Down On Davie Street
These pictures were taken a few months ago in Vancouver's WestEnd. The three houses on the corner of Davie & Jervis, dating back to the early 1900's were some of the few houses remaining in the area. They have now been torn down along with the small apartment building to the left of them.
