With coffee battles brewing throughout Canada it is not unusual to see small coffee shops pop up and then disappear within months. I have also noticed a few Starbucks locations closing within Vancouver. The battle to be Canada's best coffee brand is fierce and has seen Starbucks drop below McDonalds from second to third place. Topping the list is Tim Hortons.
The tastes of consumers can change on a dime it seems. I know Starbucks has so many successful locations but even they are not immune to the whims, and pocket books, of their customers.
