West End Punto Pasta Boarded Up STOP WORK IMMEDIATELY
Punto Pasta on the corner of Denman and Robson in the West End has been boarded up for months now. A Legal Notice to STOP WORK IMMEDIATELY was posted on the front door October 24, 2017.

Shipwrecked Near English Bay
Crashing into the seawall between Sunset Beach and English Bay last week this sailboat seems to be going nowhere fast. It is not uncommon to see a few boats crashed along Vancouver shorelines after a windstorm but what few people realize is that if the owner walks away from these damaged or destroyed boats the cleanup then becomes the responsibility of the Vancouver Parks Board. Costs can be as high as 7,000 dollars and last year the city had to deal with close to 20 boats.

Vancouver Mural Festival 2017: Artists At Work
Artists are painting the town every color imaginable for Vancouver's second Mural Festival taking place from Aug 7 to 12. Most of the murals are being painted in the Mount Pleasant area near Main Street, with this year's festival transforming an additional 50 walls to add to the 35 painted last year. You can view a map here. Artists from Vancouver and around the world are on the streets painting selected walls all week. The pictures above were taken in the lane just west of the Lee Building on Broadway and Main.

Payphones: Endangered Species On Vancouver Streets
Have you noticed that payphones are quickly disappearing from Vancouver's streets. They used to be everywhere but now if you are lucky enough to find one chances are that it has been vandalized or covered in graffiti. This one was spotted on Main Street.

Is Translink Testing Double Decker Buses
This new double decker bus was parked in the Canada Line Marine Station bus loop today. Will Translink be introducing these new buses into the system anytime soon? Last year it was reported that Translink was considering double decker buses for some long distance routes.
