Shipwrecked Near English Bay

Crashing into the seawall between Sunset Beach and English Bay last week this sailboat seems to be going nowhere fast. It is not uncommon to see a few boats crashed along Vancouver shorelines after a windstorm but what few people realize is that if the owner walks away from these damaged or destroyed boats the cleanup then becomes the responsibility of the Vancouver Parks Board. Costs can be as high as 7,000 dollars and last year the city had to deal with close to 20 boats.
